I always thought it curious that Shadowheart would relinquish the artifact given its importance and given her personality. I had always felt that SH should have held onto it until her trust in you was exceptional. It makes sense thematically, though gameplay wise. I see why Larian did it as they chose.

Take the bethesda scale of map and create a Baldurs Gate 3 style of gameplay and CD Projekt Red style of upkeep... anything else will breed disappointment. I am intrigued, but so many AAA and green lit studios have promised such world dynamics before; most have failed to deliver.

Yeah... So we got the fallout 4 treatment to our character's dialogues? I guess another Rpg lost its Rp element along the way. Nice going Having a voiced protagonist was always a red flag for me in rpgs but having 4 voice actors for our mc? Yep the character depth is going to reach puddle levels. Game is not out of course but based on previous experiences with "rpg" games in the past, this game has all the red flags an rpg could have

One thing I will say is that in this series in particular, it’s hard for my to follow because you do a lot of subtle spoilers. Still good nonetheless.

"No two players are gonna have the exact same experience." I mean.. thats true for like 99% of games. It doesn't neccessarily make a game better though. Same goes for huge maps, or games with tons of content. It needs to be done well, and be enjoyable content. I'm hopeful, but i'm pretty much done being hyped over new games that are being announced.

interested in finding out more on the reaper class for warrior, other than that i've always loved my walking bomb builds just too good lol

I think probably the biggest persistent game map award goes to a very niche MMO game called Horse Isle 3: Infinite Wilds with a map that is 100km. That's like the circumference of the Earth twice over. It's literally impossible for one person to ever know the whole map. You can explore and easily see places no one else will likely ever see. I suppose any Minecraft map would rival this, but it's the persistence that is interesting to me and the fact that there is theoretically an edge, which of course people are trying to get to. It's not super relevant here, but just a fun fact when talking game map size.

Something about this just doesn’t move the dial for me. I can’t explain what I feel it’s missing. It doesn’t look bad at all. I just can’t get excited about it.

Are there polearms in this game as weapons? Stuff like spears, lances, halberds, bardiches, naginatas, and all that good stuff that 99% of RPGs DON'T ever have?
